""Sunday Brunch is probably considered my happy place" - Unknown quote Oh I am true fan of this little eatery. This is my favourite brunch pad at the moment. A small but very friendly and tasty Brisbane pad. Tucked way on Arthur Street you may miss it but take a wonder down Arthur with your back to Sixes and Sevens and you'll see it on your left opposite Farrier wine bar. This place is not large but offers an amazing tasty breakfast. I can highly recommend the Lamb Kofta's and Mushrooms and Eggs dishes. There is one large kitchen table upstairs that can take groups up to 8 with most of the seating for 2s and few tables downstairs for 4s. Definitely a must try if you are in the James Street area."

"This cool little bi-story cafe is currently my go-to for a weekend breakfast with a difference. For too long the breakfast scene in Brisbane has been awash with traditional Eggs Benny or traditions pancake options. King Arthur shakes the traditional breakfast notion on its head by using a fusion international breakfast influences with the Aussie faves. They also use fresh seasonal & local produce so you'll always be tasting what's best for you to eat in Australia at the time. Each time I've dined at the dainty cafe, I've elected to chose the daily special as it just seems so delectable! I also love that I'm able to match it with a well brewed coconut milk based latte too. Do yourself a favour and pop in for breakie or at least grab something delicious from the daily baked goods that grab your attention upon entry."

"This is surely Camelot. Local produce, a seasonal menu, Supreme Coffee and let's not get started on the interior fit out. Suffice to say, if you've not yet ventured to this cafe on Arthur Street, I'd do so pronto. King Arthur is the new family member from the same folks that brought us Merriweather Cafe. Their ethos and value around high quality seasonal food remains and so do the friendly faces behind the counter. Similarly, just as the creation of the menu might has been considered and carefully constructed, the way in which the meals are crafted from the kitchen are given equal care and attention. I've been both for lunch and breakfast now and each time it has been a calming escape with a side of soul food. The gnocchi with lemon and tarragon in their opening days was, in true Goldilocks style, just enough. The serving size that good amount with gnocchi to savor but not be in a land of regret about the quantity you've devoured. And if you're so inclined, treat yourself to a post-lunch treat from their range of baked goods. I'd recommend the raspberry frangipane tart if it's available. Breakfast of lamb ragu on sourdough was hearty and a great winter alternative to porridge or eggs and bacon. Pro Tip: This isn't a large cafe so there may be a little wait during peak times."

"I've only been to Merriweather once, and King Arthur once. But both times the food and coffee have been pretty great. I had the quinoa & chai porridge which was pretty yum. My friends enjoyed the goat and avo on rye. The food came out in 10 minutes. The coffee was tasty. The ladies behind the counter were a bit lacklustre, but friendly enough. This is definitely going to be a 'write your name on the list' sort of place. There is a noticeable lack of good quality breakfast spots from Brunswick St until you get to Teneriffe. King Arthur Cafe fills the void nicely (and it's 20 metres from my front door!)"
